Mother's Day Far from Home
I'm in Deep France and miss talking with my daughter and my husband. Can't reach them on Skype (both are offline), and can't figure out how to use the damn cell phone. I'm a techno-idiot!
This morning there was folkdancing in the town square, and my husband is one of the best and liveliest dancers in the world. I sent him oodles of photos. How I wished he was there! The musical instruments were antiques, some of them resembling hurdy-gurdies. And my daughter the percussionist would have loved the tambour and the clicking spoons.
Mother's Day. I can't reach them, but surely my love can! What's an ocean compared to a mother's love and a wife's endearments? If you see my people, hug them for me. And hug your own families for me, too. If I start hugging people here, I may get in trouble!
