Looking South from Del Mar Point

The best part about RedRoom so far (in addition to the fact that it's so easy to add photos to my site), is the ease of access to other writers: my heroes and heroines, along with new acquaintances and friends.

Here's something I've experienced about my focus, or lack of it—I know, I know, I have ADD, really bad! That would explain so much about my scattered life. Anyway, I digress. Of course. What I've noticed is that it is always much easier for me to focus and get things done, when I am at the coast.

I just got back from Sea Ranch, where I was able to spend a whole week reading and writing, all alone, and got more done then than I did in the prior three. What a luxury. There's some magic in a room of one's own, after all—I knew Virginia was on to something.

The rugged seacoast is my favorite place to write. After that comes the desert. That's for dessert. Yum!
