Weather...or Not, One Must Write. And Market, Market, Market.

We're coming down from a heat wave here in Northern California, so I think I just might be able to get back to work—not my bread-and-butter work, but revising and expanding my next book. Heat prostrates me, and I long for the coast. Fortunately, we're not too far from it here, but far enough away that it can be lovely there and unbearably hot here. I think my brain doesn't work too well (or not at all), in the heat.

It's interesting to hear from those of you who've had similar experiences with bookstores. Gotta get back on that horse. May I be so bold as to ask what kind of marketing ploy has worked best for you?

I know creative types are supposed to not have a clue about marketing, but I suspect since the popularity of the Internet has hit us full-force, that's about to change.

Professionally-minded types might want to check out LinkedIn.com. I'd love to invite you there.

Best of luck and happy marketing,

ML
