Your Opinion, Please
The moment of truth is here for me. I am now down to 193 books at the warehouse, which means I've sold nearly 1,000, and of course, given many to potential reviewers. The book sells slowly but steadily.
As a self-publisher, I now need to decide what my next step should be: should I have another 1,000 printed, or should I save my money for the next book, due out next spring?
If you have ever faced this dilemma, what was your decision? If not, what would you do?
Thanks, ML

Mary Lynn, can you make the book available electronically after all the hard copies sell? That way you can still generate revenue without investing in more stock that may or may not sell (I hope it does, but the market can be fickle).
I am facing this same dilemma, and I think I'm going to go the electronic route when my hard copies are gone. But then my book contains a lot of data, data gets stale with time, so it's not the kind of book that can reasonably sell forever. So no more hard copies, mainly because I wouldn't want to get stuck with them.

Thanks for the feedback, Ellen. I did contact BookSurge, to see what they could do for me, but haven't made a decision yet.
Marketing is such a crapshoot!
