Hey all:

Who knew it was so hard to find an agent? Well, I guess most of us did.

I'm trying to find someone to represent my writing for adults, and am not really getting anywhere... it's tough to get folks' attention!

I've written 2 books for Knopf Books for Young Readers (which both have won awards), and have a 3rd children's book, Our Farm: By the Animals of Farm Sanctuary, due out in the Spring.

I also wrote an essay, "Untitled", that appeared in the adult non-fiction anthology Half / Life (Soft Skull Press), edited by Laurel Snyder. That essay received many positive reviews, and was the subject of much of a New York Observer blog entry that reviewed a reading I participated in. The writer asked when I was going to write something more for adults!

So if there are any agents (or publishers) out there who are interested in working with me and the collection of essays that I'm working on, please comment on this post, and I will be in touch!

Best,

Maya

Hello Maya, I'm going to keep checking in here to see if you get any nibbles. I hope you do. You have some great credentials. I'm sure you'll have some luck one of these days.

Me, I know I'm not working hard enough unless I get at least a rejection letter a day. I wish there was an easier way to find an agent.

Good luck!

Chris
