Red Room Where the Writers Are

May has been such busy month that we spent what time we could at Blackberry Corner, our almost 100-year-old house. It's our own private B & B.

We celebrated being married 20 years on May 20 with a large leisurely holiday breakfast, white wedding cake with lime icing and pink roses, and a hike at the nearby Seven Islands Wildlife Refuge on the loveliest of days. We drove over to Seven Islands in our white Saturn Vue, one of the biggest presents we could give ourselves. And sitting in our front hallway is a new set of luggage just purchased for an overseas trip later this year that will be the biggest celebration of all.

And so we are marking 20 years in our 100-year-old house with great fanfare this year, even though our anniversary itself was simple.
