August Wails
Well, August isn't the kindest month for me this year. The penultimate reason is the loss of Aunt Jessie. Jessie was a formidable , lovely, faith-filled soul. I really can't say enough here about Jessie.
Here's some thoughts of sorrow... This has gone from a board comment reply to a poem to an open stream of consciousness on the other side of sorrow.

i think there is some beauty in our sympathetic times.
that beauty is that when we have loved so deeply, we mourn deeply. it hurts and it wrenches our insides and it makes our life all grey and somber, but then the flashes of kinder feelings come and lead us to memories that are in our heart just as much as the feelings were during the actual moments with our lost beloved. |

Melis, once again this is great writing about your aunt. I think it's beautiful to be so honest. VERY nice. :) Stay well.
