This time ’round, it’s from stellar writer and buddy Tim Pratt, who writes:

Michael Jasper is a writer of great integrity, passion, and imagination. He creates imaginary characters who feel realer than some people I’ve actually met.
— Tim Pratt, author of The Strange Adventures of Rangergirl, Poison Sleep, and Spell Games

Thanks, Tim! Since the cover to my Gathering of Doorways book still isn’t done, maybe we can find a way to slip that on there, too…!

Also, fellow writer Paul Jessup added a quick blog review:

[New Urban Fantasy horror novel Gathering of Doorways] Is really, really awesome. And scary as all hell. The land of the undercity is described in painstakingly vivid detail, and the characters are complex, realistic and unravelling slowly as the story commences. Well worth picking up for the horror/urban fantasy fan in your life. Makes the perfect christmas present, too. Must say, I couldn’t put the book down. Read it all night in one sitting. Scary as all hell.

Thanks for reading, Paul! I’m looking forward to Paul’s books coming out next year: Open Your Eyes and Glass Coffin Girls. Read more about ‘em at his website.

And he makes a fine point about holiday buying–according to the publisher, the book should be out by the end of November (which means it could very well be out by the end of 2008). Here’s hoping! There have been… delays.
