Tokyo is Dreaming

July 25, 2008, 9:10 pm

Just thought I'd share a couple of press kit trailers for Peter I. Chang's forthcoming film TOKYO IS DREAMING, a documentary that I was also fortunate enough to have produced.  There is still some tinkering and post-production work yet to be done, but I'm happy to report that Chang's incredible imagery has found an equal partner in the haunting musical contributions of Calexico's John Convertino.

Chilling, cool and, may I say, poetic?!

I kept thinking, had my family stayed in Tokyo, I would be one of the faces on the subway.  And as I watched, I wondered about the private lives and the family.  The music is terrific, Mitch.

dreams and such...

looking forward to seeing the film.

i loved "tideland".  my band is in the studio recording a song called "gypsy baby" that is loosely based on "tideland" via a dream i had about a baby born with a big head.  would love to send mitch a copy of album when complete.

 keep on keeping on,
