I'm happy to announce that my next book has just been turned in. It's titled NurtureShock, and it's cowritten with fellow journalist Ashley Merryman. Our publisher has slotted the book for September release. It's about the cutting edge science of childhood - sort of a Freakonomics of growing up. The book will change what we see and think about kids, and make you think twice about how you became who you are. Three of the chapters have been adapted into articles in New York magazine, leading to three magazine-writing awards. Ashley and I will start blogging regularly on the topic this summer, leading up to the publication.
I've also just finished writing a movie - a dramatic fictional film inspired by The Bohemian Grove - for Bumbershoot Productions, a film company out of Fort Worth, Texas. John Langdon, Susan OConnell, and Carolyn Pfeiffer are the producers.

Beyond Dr. Spock, beyond unconditional love, beyond green? The tipping point/crisical mass of the playpen? Long overdue, I say. Ann Seymour, author of "I'll Always Love You," a true story of ww2 in the Pacific 2B released Nov. 15 this year.
