Editing takes time

October 27, 2009, 9:40 pm

I'm halfway through editing my novel, "Tales Tell Tales" and I'm having so much fun with it. Sorry for being so scarce on Red Room, everyone. But I'm trying to get my book into good enough shape to get an agent and a publisher... :-) I'm also planning to do Nanowrimo this November - but I'll pop in now and then to let everyone know how things are going.

1. Tales Tell Tales: 37,000 words (15 good chapters down and 15 to go)

2. Coma Comma Boy: 0 words (50,000 words to go)

Hi Quenntis

Hope you and your family are well. :)

Good luck with your edits, and NaNo as well. Blimey, you're going to have your hands full.

Take care and stay well.

Being busy is great!

Ryoma,

"My energy is nourished by motion."

That's a dance quote, but I think it applies equally well to life and to writing. There are many days I don't want to write anything. But then I sit with my pen in hand and once the nib hits the page I'm okay. Thanks for your support! I love being busy, as long as it's my kind of busy.

That's a great quote,

That's a great quote, Quenntis.

If I remember correctly, the great Japanese swordsman, Miyamoto Musashi, believed that to master the strategy of one 'Way' meant that one would master the strategy of all 'Ways' so principles such as the quote you appropriately chose would apply to all 'Ways'.

So glad to hear all is going well.

Have a great weekend. All the best. :)

Almost done

The editing is almost done. I'm really proud of the work I've done now. I've put in the hours and the headaches and now I feel fantastic. Even if I don't get an agent or a publisher to say yes, I know it's the best I can make it. That's something. I'm doing my best, and I know when it's my best.

Do you feel the same?
