The exhibit of photographs from A Journey into Ireland’s Literary Revival is now up at the Borgia Gallery at Elms College.  It is on the second floor of the Doolin Campus Center.  Just turn right after you get out of the elevator.  The opening on Sunday was a pretty successful event, I think, especially given the spectacular fall weather outside.  People came and walked around the room, engaging with the pictures and talking.  I think the best part of it was that the pictures inspired people to tell their own stories, rather than just talk about the images themselves.  I heard some great stories about people sharing Yeats poems on busses, field trips to the Aran Islands, and visiting relatives in Kerry.  In many ways, I wish I could just hang out in the space and have people tell me their own stories. The show will be hung in the space through September 23, so you still have some time to go take a look.  I am offering the images for sale right from the show but will consider reprinting and framing images that have already been sold.  Ten percent of all proceeds will go to the Irish Cultural Center of Elms College.
