My “work” is to make the world a better place. The causes I pick are not about greening the  environment, preventing global warming, or improving humane treatment of animals, but it is rather about people—and the most vulnerable among them.
            My first published novel, (there was a pre-first novel that never saw the light of day,) PUPPET CHILD, which tells the story of a mother fighting the legal system to save her daughter from its “justice,” hurled me into activism. When opportunities crossed my path, I realized that I could do what no one else had done before me, and launched The Protective Parent Reform Act, which has now passed in a few states and is before the legislator in several others.
            I am now financing a prestigious academic research which I have conceived and which will finally prove judges’ bias against mothers.
            My second published novel, CHINA DOLL, pitted me unexpectedly not only against the world’s rising super-power, The People Republic of China, but also against the world’s bodies that are supposed to monitor and protect human rights: World Health Organization, Human Rights Watch/Asia, Amnesty International, and U.S. Congressional-Executive Commission on China, (mandated in 2000 with monitoring human rights in China.) Amazingly, in light of their indifference and inaction, I turned out to be the ONLY voice against infanticide in China.
            By a twist of events, I was invited to present the topic at the U.N. in March 2007—the first time in U.N. history that infanticide in China was presented (and of course, struck immediately by the Chinese.)
            After sending out battle-cries before the Beijing 2008 Olympics—cries that mostly went unheard—I currently pen an occasional article on the subject of missing Chinese girls. But my claim to fame is that my website is banned in China, and probably I am too….
            If taking on the U.S. justice system and then the Chinese government weren’t enough, in my next novel I have taken on… God!
            When JERUSALEM MAIDEN will be published next year by Harpers Collins, I may face the wrath of fundamentalist societies that focus on women’s purity as the basis of their ideologies. And perhaps of the women who accept these religious teaching without ever doubting that it is God who speaks to them directly through the religious organizations that are keen on suppressing women in every public arena.
            And while awaiting for God to respond to my challenge, since 1995 I’ve been dealing with other giant force that threatens our existence: The spread of extreme Islam and the terror it uses to accomplish its stated goal—the taking over our Western civilization (Islamists’ declarations, not mine.)             There are a few more pieces to what I do, although I am not sure it’s “work.” However,  I must get back to my fiction writing.…
