This community of writers is joining to support Patry Francis and her book, The Liar's Diary, released on January 29th 2008. I don't know Patry personally but I feel connected to her through the world of writers.

I also know that a book tour is the one of the few opportunites for the author and her book--her book as a substance in the world instead of numerous drafts-- to appear together: Soon afterwards the reader and the book will meet in a realm of intimacy and invisibility. And the writer will vanish.

Right now Patry can't go on a tour. So I want to send out a wish that many readers will buy the book and experience those intimate, invisible and transforming moments as they read The Liar's Diary. Book tours are a great reward for the long hours spent with a book: But the ultimate reward for any writer  is having readers enter the world of the book.
