Red Room Where the Writers Are

Sometimes writing can be a drag.  There are woderful, inspirational moments where it all flows, then there is the rest of the time.  So far, I've got the preface and first three chapters written, and so far I've gotten great feedback.  Right now, though, it's the rest of the time.  So some of what I've been doing is to work on the story arc, writing different scenes as inspiration strikes, and I wrote a summary. 

I posted my summary in a thread in the writer-reader group on LibraryThing.  This is a fantastic and helpful group of people, and I've learned a LOT about summary writing.   I've learned what goes into it will make the difference between someone buying it or not.  And, I've learned the difference between a hook and the summary. 

It's such an overwhelming process, though to move from writing a little something for yourself and friends to a novel with intention to publish.
