What makes you pick up a book or 'click' on it to learn more or possibly purchase it?

Whether you pick up a hardcover, paperback or click to see more about that new ebook, what makes you take a closer look?

Sometimes it might be the cover. Catchy, eye appealing graphics are like eye candy to some avid readers.

Or, how about the title? Does it evoke a feeling? Intrigue you?

Is the author a favorite, someone you have read before, or perhaps a blurb is listed praising the creator? Does this make you pick up the book more than the above?

The synopsis on the back cover. Does this promise a fresh spin on plot or character? Interest you by genre?

I would like to hear your feedback on just what prompts you to choose your next read.

Thanks,
