Club Guidelines

Every club needs some rules to insure all members are treated with respect and to keep it a fun place for folks to chat about the books they love as well as other stuff.

1. Respect your fellow members and their opinions. Discussion of the books & characters should be done in a respectful manner, treating others as you would like to be treated. Religious & political discussions should be avoided as these are two areas that people have strong opinions about. Absolutely no flaming or inciting behavior will be tolerated.

2. You must be 18 years or older to be a member of this group. To maintain respect for all members, content in this group must be kept at PG-13. The PG-13 standard includes ALL ASPECTS of the board: language, photos, the content of websites/pages to which you post links, and NO sexual innuendo! Sexual innuendo toward anyone here on the board isn't okay.

3. Photos/Graphics - No book covers or drawings or other copyrighted material allowed. All photos/graphics/images must be PG-13. NO NUDITY except in places on the forum that is allowed.

Please post links and not the actual picture/graphic/image as it causes the boards to be slower as they take longer to load.

4. No Fan Fiction - defined as fiction about characters or settings written by fans of the original work, rather than by the original creators. Fan fiction usually describes works that are uncommissioned and unauthorized by the owner/creators/publishers of the original. Fan Fiction is not allowed on this group due to copyright issues.

5. Although we may discuss other authors' works, no promotion is allowed here. Promotion can be offering a product or service to the members here, or simply asking them to join a group that you are a member of like the Shelfari or Goodreads social website. Or, it can be solicitations, even for non-profit organizations. Basically, it's using the membership here for your own devices, no matter how noble they may be.

In truth, almost everyone here could offer some product or service. So, to keep this place a commercial free zone and safe for its members - none of it is allowed.

6. Please do not forward messages here from other groups/authors without permission from that group owner AND permission from the Moderators here.

7. General discussion is allowed, but spoilers won't be discussed. Thank you for your cooperation and have fun!
