The Sisters in Crime chapter of Columbus, Ohio, is sponsoring its first Midwest writers' conference, Bodies and Buckeyes. It's a one-day affair on Nov. 7th from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. with keynote speaker Lee Lofland, noted expert on crime scene investigation and police procedures. Also on hand will be featured authors Craig McDonald, Judy Clemens and Beverle Graves, and agents Christine Witthohn and Judith Ann Miramontez. Registration fee: $100 (before Sept. 23); $125 (after Sept. 23). Registration deadline is Nov. 3.
