Gary Gach: HAIKU ::: Moods & Modes of Awareness
Celebrate winter's changing light with this special workshop devoted to learning how to experience, write, and share haiku. Not only one of the world’s briefest literary forms, haiku are also a way of seeing and being. We will map the basics, take a relaxed haiku walk outdoors, discover haiku right in Stanford’s own backyard, and share what we encounter, written and unwritten. With haiku, we can learn how to make each word and moment count, sense our senses, harmonize perception and expression, and train our attention and awareness.
