Lauren John is teaching a a four week online class on starting and running and improving book groups. The emphasis is on book groups held in public libraries, but there is something here for everyone, including lots of book selection and discussion resource links, ready made book discussions, and a chance to connect via discussion boards, with the best and brightest book group leaders in California and beyond! Hopefully, you will connect with some folks that you can continue to contact long after the class is done. Work at your own pace--there are no grades. We'll cover everything from recruiting members, to determining their interests, to book selection, snack selection, and group dynamics.
