Poetry Hickory is a reading series sponsored by Main Street Rag and held the second Tuesday of each month at Taste Full Beans Coffeehouse in downtown Hickory, NC. The readings begin at 6:30 p.m. and include a 30-minute Open Mic followed by two featured readers. The March Poetry Hickory is Tuesday, March 13, and will feature Tim Peeler, author of "Blood River," "Fresh Horses," and "Don't Take Me Alive" and Harry Calhoun, author of "I knew Bukowski like you knew a rare leaf" and "Dogwalking Poems." From I-40 driving west into Hickory
Take Exit 125
Turn right at top of ramp onto Lenoir Rhyne Boulevard.
At the construction blockade (4th light), turn left onto Tate Boulevard.
After 3 lights, turn right onto 2nd St. SW (There's a "Downtown Shopping" Sign).
Cross the tracks, go past the parking lot and the alley, and Taste Full Beans will be on your left. Look for the Poetry Sign.
