Jewelle Gomez & partner, Diane Sabin commemorated the Centennial of the 1906 Earthquake in full costume and took a costume prize at the firefighters ball. She also was mistaken for film critic, Jan Wahl! Must have been because it was 5 AM and Market street was packed with women in big hats.
