I had the privilege of being raised by my Great Grandmother, called Grace A. She was born on Indian land in Iowa and married a Wampanoag when her family moved east. Her daughter, my grandmother, are my perpetual role models. Smart, sexy, dynamic, articulate and civic minded. Their pictures and those of other family members are the guiding stars on my journey.
