Poet and essayist, Cheryl is also an assistant dean at Rutgers University. She wrote the groundbreaking collection of poems: Living as Lesbian (Firebrand Books) as well as other volumes. She has a unique jazz/blues style that jumps off the page. Her first collection: Narratives--Poems in the Tradition of Black Women, was performed as by three actresses in 1983 & 1984 around the country. We met when we were invited to join the CONDITIONS Magazine Collective in 1982
