Many would be pet owners have been faced with the decision - do I get a cat or a dog? Wanting to be a responsible pet owner, you are naturally going to consider the amount of time and effort you are willing and able to devote to your new furry companion. So you ponder the choices. Dogs are known for their loyalty, but cats are easier to take care of, right? The answer is; not necessarily.
It was an all too familiar scene; the church, the mourners, another funeral. As I sat there listening to the eulogy of the dearly departed a thought, like a bright neon sign, lit up in my mind. Why is it that we wait until someone has left us to say all these nice things about them? Why don't we pay them these compliments while they are here with us, when it matters?

What's in a name? Everything. A name says who you are to the world, and in many cases a first impression of the kind of person you are is made simply from the name you carry. Compare for example, the name "John" or "Michael" with a name such as "Moses" or "Herschel". Do you get a different image in your mind when you hear each of those names? Of course you do. Names are important; they identify you.

One that not only includes the first African-American candidate but also the first woman vice presidential hopeful as well.
