Buffy the Vampire Slayer, to my Camp Slayer friends.

I saw this clip on youtube. Its a pilot for a Buffy the Vampire Slayer animated series that never got picked up. Most of the actors from the show did the voices for their characters. It wasn't bad and was kind of fun to see for a Buffy fan. I thought I would share with my fellow Camp Slayers. :). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnUvZP7-5LM

Goldilocks is dead, CSI looking for the body

The SF Business Times recently ran an article with this headline "Goldilocks is dead, CSI looking for the body, says Wells economist." Of course I was quite shaken up. I always thought Goldilocks sounded like such a nice girl. Well actually when you think about it, she was kind of a bad seed. Breaking and entering into her neighbors the Bears' house. Then she kind of ransacked the place ...

My Letter to Mr. Obama

I am very disappointed in Barack Obama's recent announcement that he will continue George Bush's Faith-Based Initiative. Social Services should be handled by nonpartisan, non-religiously affiliated organizations, and allowing organizations to discriminate in hiring based on faith-based biases is not something the government should encourage. I admit that as a Democrat I have little choice in ...

Carnival or Carneveal and it’s oh so Crazy.

Socialite Catwoman poses next to cat art while preparing to pounce on an unsuspecting man with a shiny watch. Barbara Gordon and Bat Girl both make appearances true to her character in their display of her two sided personality. Batman... wait, Bruce Wayne makes an appearance trying to get some dirt on those naughty mobsters, and Alfred is his catty yet classy self. I enjoyed this issue ...

Snow Thaws White Snow thaws, to beauty frozen withinA snow thought tainted by inherited sinIce brushed aside, springs turn now to playColor, life, rejoice in this brand new dayInner passions awake, find their voiceNature’s seasons give little choiceHumans though get to decideThe resting place their soul will resideTrap yourself in a barren icy hellOr a heaven of touch, taste, sight and smell

House Hunting

House Hunting is slightly a misnomer. Only in the worst possible neighborhoods would a gun be appropriate and no real stealth is needed to approach the unwary prey. I suppose the occasional house is mobile but the kind of house I want should only move if Dorthy's twister swings by. So this house hunting process has been a real eye opener. The SF bay area is not for the faint of heart or ...

Huntress Year One #3 or Where Things Speed Up

Okay first off I liked this issue. It had some great moments with Helena's first getting her costume, swiping her priest/foster brother's purple sash (every girls got to have some accessories even if she doesn't do dresses), and some great action. I do think this issue had less story in it then the first and second issues and I am very much a more-is-good kind of guy when it comes to story. I ...

Huntress Year One #2 or Huntress Hero

The second Issue of Ivory Madison's Noir comic drama and I am very much enjoying it. Secret Societies, Romeo and Juliet, Menacing Mobsters, and a slick art style that really conveys the story. Comic Books now a days have been exploring a so called decompression style which I don't enjoy. Decompression results in One fight scene or dramatic moment stretched painfully thin across several issues. ...

Huntress Year One

I picked up Huntress Year One at the comic book store today and I have to say I really liked it. The art was good Cliff Richards (no relation to Reed Richards AKA Mr. Fantastic I assume) has a very clean style of penciling that draws you in and doesn't conflict with the coloring. Ivory Madison's story was great with Mafioso crime noir styling and an easy introduction to the Main Character. One of ...
