About Me

  • Cat is a woman of a sensible age (but that in no way implies that she is sensible). Cat lives in Upper Hutt, New Zealand, with her husband and children. She is a long time member of Backspace.org, (an online writers group) and is very active on MySpace, as are her two main characters (Ellie Conway and Mac Connelly), which is both fun and challenging. In the last few years her short stories have appeared in ThrillerUK, Mystericale, Bewildering stories, T-zero, The Writers Post Journal and Conceit Magazine.

Terrorbyte: When Special Agent Ellie Conway launches the Butterfly Foundation to help the children of mentally ill parents, she never envisaged it becoming a smörgåsbord for a monster. Exacabyte: The surfacing of the child trafficker known as Hawk in New Zealand ,hauls Supervising Special Agent Ellie Conway out of her comfort zone and into a terrifying situation as she hurries to find missing children.

INFLUENCES

  • The biggest influence on my writing would have to be Janet Evanovich. With more immediate and tangible influence coming in the last year or so via Graeme Johns.
