I've always enjoyed creative writing. When I was six or seven, I would write books complete with pictures and speech bubbles. I got away from it - or I should say it got away from me - as I grew older. My writing was confined to term papers and forced assignments. But a couple of years ago, I started a new job as the Sports Editor at our local newspaper. It's not exactly creative writing, or bona fide journalism, but it re-opened the door to words and
creativity. Having taken only one post-high school writing class, I'm not exactly up with the ranks here. But when I received the invitation to join, I looked around and saw so much of what I couldn't pass up.
