Lauren Smith, born in 1986 to a banker and a lawyer, inherited their collective creativity. She began writing in third grade where she started attending youth writing conferences in her hometown of Tulsa Oklahoma. Her love of writing grew out of passion for reading. Her mission as a writer now, is to return readers back to those days of splendor as they fall deeply into her epic tales of heroes and villains, where love conquers all, and the human heart triumphs against all odds.

She has crossed the globe to satisfy her traveling bug by visiting places such as England, France, Italy and Spain, and has lived for a month at a time in both France and in China. She loves venturing out into the unknown with notebook and pen in hand to describe her adventures. It is a beautiful and brave world out there, and she vows to see and write about all of it throughout the course of her life.

At the moment she is stateside, wrapped heavily in the cloak of law school where traveling is not an option for the next three years. But she ventures into Canada five days a week where she pursues her dual degree between her US law school and her Canadian law school.
