kgcummings (April 11, 1949 - ) Alias Kathy G. Cummings, born Kathy Ann Cummings in Oswego, New York to parents Raymond E. and Gertrude Kathryn DeSantis Cummings.
Her first novel, The Wind Whispers War, was self published in 2006. It was soon followed by several more novels to continue the historical romance series based in the Vietnam era. For nearly 20 years Kathy worked for a contractor to the United States Air Force as a civilian equivalent to an AF X2 computer operator in the Standard Base Supply System. This experience gave her the opportunity to become acquainted with many Veterans who inspired her novel series.
Kathy currently resides in Florida, and continues to write novels and poetry.

The fifth book in this series will be available May 2009, Wine, Women and Worries. The sixth and final novel, Well Worth the Wait, will be released before the end of the year.

My influences have been the numerous Vietnam Veterans that I've known from the early 1960s at the onset of the war, until the present after observing the effect that the War had on them and their families. Working at an Air Force base for nearly twenty years put me in contact with more Vets on a daily basis. Dozens of men shared their stories with me and gave me permission to weave them into a fictional series beginning with my first novel, The Wind Whispers War.
