About Me

• I'm Jason R. Thrift and I am a resident of Williamston, South Carolina.  I have lived in South Carolina for my entire life and I am an alumni of Clemson University.

   I currently work as a Registered Nurse at my local hospital in Anderson.  I'm with the Nursing Informatics department.  My saying for us is, "We're the people that help the people that help make you feel better!"  I've been working at the hospital now for twelve years starting in the file room, all the way to where I am today and I'm hopeful of pursuing a masters degree in nursing in the near future.

   I have always had the dream of writing though.  As I child I loved stories, whether in book form or movie form, and have loved making up my own.  In the summer of 2006 I decided to give it a try at the writing business and wrote a 256 page manuscript that became my first novel The Civilization Loop.  It was published in 2007 as is still available now.  I currently have a new novel entitled Recreant that was just recently published and have finished two other manuscripts I hope to have published in the future.

   Obviously I love to write and I hope you will take an interest not only in me, but in my writing most of all.  If you want to know more, just ask!

Family

• I have both of my parents, Rick and Debbie Thrift, my in-laws, Jim and Brenda Bowen, 2 brothers and 2 sisters (by marriage) Jimmy and Kristi Bowen and Jeff and Christy Terry. I have four nieces and nephews: Joshua Terry, Carson Bowen, Trey Bowen and Addison Bowen. One deceased nephew: Jacob Terry. Three grandparents: Rebecca Bowen, Joanne and Charles Thrift. One great grandmother: Ma Boan. I have a godson: Easton Lynch, of Ken and Krystal Lynch. Two dogs: Max and Maggie, one bird: Bonnie, a brother bird: Richie

Interests & Hobbies

• I like to write (duh, right?), walk, play softball, run, play basketball, raft, kayak (once), play fantasy football (like a nut!), and love my baby Leslie!  For anything else, just ask!
