About Me

  • I've worked in bookstores for nearly 25 years. And, I 've worked as a journalist and free-lance writer for longer than that. As an events coordinator, I have set-up, publicized and hosted nearly 1000 author events. (That's how I probably met you.) As a writer, I've had some 500 articles, reviews, and interviews published in various magazines and newspapers. A few of my pieces have ended up in books published by the likes of HarperCollins and the University of Nebraska Press.

I am also the director of the Louise Brooks Society. I'm highly interested (read "obsessed") with the silent film star Louise Brooks. For a manifestation of my interest see www.pandorasbox.com

I like to read. I like doing research. I like organizing information. I like watching old movies. I enjoy music of all kinds. I am a writer, and occasional journalist. I collect books. I am a nerd, and I revel in it.
