I grew up in a farm in Iowa.  In the summer I would lay in the green grass looking at the sky and daydream about the people in the jets that passed overhead.  I traveled about the U.S. in my old beat up car, managed to get a couple of degrees in science and engineering, got married to a Greek fellow, birthed two lovely daughters who are now 16 and 20 . . .and convinced my husband we should live on Crete.

Here in Crete I took a Creativity Workshop by Shelley Berc and Alejandro Fogel. (www.creativityworkshop.com)  The workshop freed me to write. What a wonderful miracle!  So far I've started a lot of things with great promise, probably close to a thousand pages altogether, but need to finish these projects!  I've got lots of ideas!  Polishing up my work to create finished products is what I'm trying to learn to do now!

My husband Nik is professor of Environmental Engineering at Crete Polytechnic University with local and international projects.
My first daughter, Kleo, is at college in Athens, at DeRee. She's a whiz at public speaking and is majoring in Mass Communications. She's also a natural born theatrical stage actress when she has the time.
My second daughter, (second to arrive, not second in my heart) Natalie, is home and a Junior in the Greek High School. She is a methodical and competitive student with a strong sense of respecting democratic action in all aspects of her life.
