UPCOMING WORK
- I have completed one work of non-fiction - a study of youth culture, race relations, and American politics. I have completed two novels - an old-fashioned whodoneit with dark humor and Hiaasen-esque twists, and a tongue-in-cheek day dream of the day a deity decided to visit earth to see how it functions at street level. And I am developing a non-fiction project about a true crime family, in which most of the family members were violent felons, and projects about trends in race relations, Internet social networking, relationships, and the practice of formal religion.
INFLUENCES
- My biggest fiction influences are Carl Hiaasen, Walter Mosley, Michael Connelly, and Mark Twain. My non-fiction influences include Ellis Cose, and Malcolm Gladwell.
