  Interesting post, Lauren. I try to only discuss books in public that I like. As part of "The Book Review Club," I always choose books I'm loving so that I can give a positive review.

  Interesting post. As for me, I was traumatized by Pinocchio and had a horrible nightmare that my parents were swallowed by a whale. My sister, on the other hand, loved the horror movies of the time.

  I'm a new convert since (a) I got a Kindle and (b) My novel is now on Kindle. I do think that change is afloat and will open new opportunities for writers and readers. It's exciting news.

  Independently published - I like that. That's what I ended up doing, too, after my novel got an agent but no sale.
