• Multiculturalism

  I think you ask for too much when you ask for historical examples of successful multicultural states.  Especially if you exclude states like Athens and Rome because they collapsed.

  ...it seems the only thing you've really said about the issues was, well, you didn't say anything really. I guess you could say the thing about the 7-11's and us being in debt to China.

  I agree with you on many, actually most things. Most of my disagreements are over relatively irrelevant matters.

  I think that's an apt summation. And it saddens me that Obama cannot, or feels that he cannot, speak on race.

  I'm not sure what you mean when you say I should marshal evidence. To support what claim? I never said Jeremiah Wright was a racist, I don't think.

  I don't think he was trying in any way to belittle John McCain or his service.

  I agree with you that comment like those by Jeremiah Wright are part of the problem but you cannot eliminate the problem unless you understand it.

  ...Cosby has experience, right?  And he's put forth plans to fix the economy, end the war in Iraq, etc......He says some things that conservatives like and he'd be a better president than Obama.

  I don't think I missed your point.  I think I disagree with your point.  I disagree with your characterization of Obama as just a nice speechmaker with no experience.
