- I am the author of The Cry of the Cuckoos, a mystery novel. One reviewer said it was better than any of John Grisham's books, and another compared it in emotion and plot to another Southerm writer, William Faulkner. After 40 years in newspaper, magazine and book producing, this is my first novel with a sequel to follow.
