About Me

  • Born in North Carolina, raised in Columbus, GA, currently living in Fayetteville with my wife of 23 years, my son and my daughter. I'm a chemist by day and a writer/publisher by night and on the weekends. My goal is to publish science fiction and fantasy stories from an African American perspective, something uplifting, not saturated with the stigma of racism and slavery.

  • A little help from my friends

    September 3, 2009

    • Writing a first novel can be a lonely experience. Unless your associated with a local writing group or just happen to have a few friends afflicted by this tortured profession, your by yourself contructing a tome of questionable quality. However, once your book is out there and your interacting with potential readers and writers, you begin to develop a crew, your own personal gang of theives as I ...

    August 12, 2009

    • This past Sunday I had the priviledge of attenting the August book club meeting for Sippin' Sisters, a ladies book club located in Alpharetta, GA. One of the ladies, Joy, read Meji Book One and recommended it for the group. This was my second book club meeting in as many years, so I pretty much knew what to expect. I wasn't as nervous as I was for my first book club because Joy asked me to bring ...

    July 28, 2009

    • Well, it's finally done! Meji Book Two, my second publishing effort is complete and ready for purchase. I produced a better product this time around. The cover design is top rate, the editing a big improvement and the reviews on the back brings more focus on the quality work we're putting out. Feedback continues to be good. I have a book club meeting on August 9th, Onyx Con on August 14th and ...

Book Two brings to conclusion the story of Obaseki and Ndoro, which is an origin story for the dominante nation of Uhuru. Their will be other novels based in this world. If all goes well both books will be available through Amazon, Barnes and Nobles and others by ...
  • Internet Success

    June 9, 2009

    • I began my self publishing endevour with the hope of being a successul on line book seller. I studied the market and  read that the internet was the perfect venue for niche market products. Since I write Sword and Soul I figured I was a niche within a niche so this should be perfect. I produced and printed my books, set up my website with Paypal purchasing, joined forums  and sites and all the ...

Thanks, bruh. It's up to us to write our own history, for only we can appreciate its importance.
  • A moving poem

This peom clearly expressed the pain of the moment. I understand the unfair rejection based on race very well. An execellent collection of words.
  • Thanks

I'm a self publisher as well. Online social networking hasn't been as fruitful for me, but face to face marketing has worked great.
  • Great Post

How lucky to be taught and inspired by such a great person. I've never read Angela's Ashes. I will now.
