- I grew up in a home of musicians, painters, weavers and potters. I found my path into the world of imaginative language and imagery through a long process of education in the humanities and experience in the kitchen, nonprofit world, church and classroom. My work is an attempt to capture the everyday world in words and images that twist, through an often subtle simplicity, the reader's or viewer's usual perception of an object or concept, and thereby impact that very same world.
