About Me

  • My name is Cary Chrysler. I was born in Redding, California, on March 27, 1957. I've always had a great urge to write. When I was very young, I always seemed to understand spiritual things, many times thinking, "I knew that" as I would read my books (The Science of Mind, by Ernest Holmes, among others). I met my wife Elaine (Lanie) in 1984, and we married in '85, and lived in So. Oregon for ten years, moving to Denver, CO. in '95.

  • Heroes

    August 12, 2009

    •    I'd say real heroes don't wear capes.  A wise teacher once said, "There are great men and women who go unknown.  Their contemporaries ignore them."  My father in-law is a hero.  He is a master negotiator/labor expert for (one of) the Federal government's unions. He worked for the United States Forest Service as an engineer, designing roads, and with his wife, manning forest ...
  • "All you need to do..."

    July 22, 2009

    • In certain terms, "we" do not exist. We are as characters in a dream, and we in turn dream. A wise teacher said, "There is no end to the 'within' of things." Mind never stops creating. But herein lies a clue. "I" sit here and tap on these little black plastic keys, which in certain terms ...
  • Some things I've written...

    July 5, 2009

    •    In our colorful dream, nothing lives that is not ours.  For ours is the heritage of the beloved.  Let a world of our own making, as it sleeps in its play of solidity--let this be our time that is no time.  Let it be our time to awaken to ourselves, and to one another, as we understand "one another".  Let this be our recognition of our peace, that a dream is a dream; that only ...
  • Everything I see, Is Me

    June 7, 2009

    •    Whatever form your idea of peace might take, may you now find it.      Everything I see, is me.  There are no "others".  Each of us is really the same.  Each one looks at others, and each one sees himself. ("him" herein has nothing to do with gender.)  I see a person on the corner across the street, and I am seeing myself from a different perspective.   ...
  • One Who Knows

    March 28, 2009

    • It is deep, this universal despair.  But with us walks One Who Knows.  He knows our despair is unreal.  Nothing unreal exists.  As we see what "only the love is real" means, then doors open to us.  Everything falls into place.  We begin to see the world differently, and remember: change the way you see the world, and the world you see will change.     The world of itself has no ...

  • Why I Believe in The Audacity of Hope

    May 21, 2008
Barack Obama, as any good writer, knows a great line when he hears it. He heard his pastor speak that line in a sermon, and tucked it away: "The Audacity of Hope." I am not a political animal.

  • Thank You

Thanks, Dennis. My wife and I lived about fourteen miles from Klamath Falls. I remember a trip from Klamath to Medford. It was early spring, but naturally it was still "winter" at home.
  • Merry Christmas!

How could we let a big goose egg (0 COMMENTS) remain on such a lovely blessing and wish!  Thanks, Catherine...

  • "This need not be." --ACIM

Thank you, Catherine.  What I see is that suffering is unnecessary in our terms, and in truth impossible.  "God's Son can suffer nothing, and I am His Son."

  • Wonderful!

Thank you, Catherine.  I think '92 is about the time I discovered ACIM too.  The more I study it, and practice what it teaches, the more convinced I am that it is real.  "Only pe

  • Thanks for the smile

I drive an '01Toyota Corolla, my wife drives a '94 Subaru Legacy...but we did have a Dodge Omni long ago.

        Here's to better days...
