Review Excerpt:
This issue is a very dense and intense retelling of Helena Bertinelli’s early childhood and it does not waste any time getting into the thick of things. Her family’s role in the mob and fall from grace is touched upon immediately, as is her immediate family’s dynamic, both of which are important factors in who Helena would eventually become. Ivory Madison approaches this in a very psychological way; she leaves many things unsaid, but everything makes sense together and when put together, builds a foundation for Helena’s personality and lifestyle choices.
