Synopsis:
1) Cast of Caricatures: synopsis
This bawdy, fast-paced narrative features a star-crossed young doctor, who runs a methadone clinic in San Francisco. Seemingly touched early in his career by the divine, he nonetheless now battles cancer. Despite his uncertain prognosis, he relentlessly focuses on finding a soul mate, which leads him to stalk supreme danger. This tale is replete with whores and pimps and cops, lust and sex, terrible diseases, brutality, dueling, even murder. And it has its share of miracles and love (both true and otherwise). Be damned, but this black comedy is a devil of a story!
2) Fancy That: synopsis
Benjamin Roberts is a loser in life, then on a whim he buys a home computer though he knows nothing about computers and can’t even type. Therein, he meets Max in cyberspace who offers him fame, fortune, and the woman of his dreams, asking only for Ben’s friendship in return. Lo! Max delivers. But in doing so, he makes Ben the target of the FBI, the Treasury Dept., CIA, Interpol, and the security forces of every country on Earth, not to mention organized crime. As for Jenny, Ben’s dream woman, Max insists on orchestrating an elaborately prolonged seduction of her that will never reveal his true role in it. Progressively, questions arise. Who is this Max and what is he actually up to? Will Jenny love and stay true to Ben? If federal agents finally arrest Ben, will he ever again go free to enjoy his fabulous fortune and be back with Jenny? And who is the “Beijing Bulldog” anyway? But in the end, perhaps the only thing that truly matters is what Ben Roberts fancies.
3) Triad: synopsis
Dr. Ben Darris in St. Louis dies on the operating table. Lo! As his spirit speeds along that 'tunnel toward the light,' he is sidetracked by a rugged fellow from the hereafter who begs help for his wife in Oregon, who is in danger. Ben is resuscitated before the stranger can relate all. Alive again, he researches for but finds no record of that fellow or his wife. The first of many synchronicities prompts Ben to fly to the West Coast and continue the search. What Ben finds in Oregon is multifaceted and more deadly than anything he is prepared for. Racing to escape, he is hotly pursued by both the law and nefarious criminal forces. And the cargo he must carry off with him all but guarantees he will be brutally tortured to death if caught. Was that tunnel transporting him to 'the light' in fact headed for Heaven or Hell?
4)Cross of Echoes: synopsis
Chester Smith, a 23 yr-old, wheelchair-bound black youth from the hinterlands of Mississippi is a graduate student at Stanford University when he volunteers for a hypnosis experiment at the medical school. Lo! In repeated trances, he unexpectedly regresses 2000 years to a past life as Jesus Christ. He even utters ancient Aramaic, Christ’s principle language. Dr. Shonna Rice, heading this research, proclaims that past-life regressions are pure fabrication. But when the media learns of Chester, it hypes him till the Christian world spins into religious frenzy. Even the Vatican sends over a pair of sleuthing priests to investigate. Young Chester achieves true superstar status.
Here’s the crux: might he, in fact, be the Second Coming or a channel for the Lamb of God or is he something far different? God only knows!Topics/Categories:
