  My beautiful friends
  Death (aren't we all influenced by death?)
  Grief (aren't we all influenced by grief?)
  and the places they open up that shine slantwise
  Growing up in blue-collar dairy cattle land in rural Minnesota where my father was a cow inseminator and my mother answered phones and raised eight children
