Influences

• I have years of experience as a marriage and family counselor. Then, in the mid-1980s, I transferred my focus to organizational development work which is what I do to the present day. However, recently in harkening back to my first career as a marriage counselor, I have begun to formulate a new model for building successful intimate relationships base on business concepts.

  The model involves showing couples how to create a relationship "built to last" using concepts they know well from the world of work... businesses have vision statements so why not a vision statement for couples, businesses have brands and logos so why not a "love logo" for the couple, business provide a job description for every employee so why not a job description for the couple and so on.

  Finally, I have chosen to focus my new book on a very "under-served" group... cohabitating couples. My latest book is the first to take a serious and non-judgmental look at helping these couples improve the fitness of their relationship.
