my life as china

my life as china

Synopsis:

A beautiful broadside edition of one of my poems, "my life as china." The poem was previously published in the journal Talisman, in the Fall 2005/Winter 2006 issue. My invitation to read at the fabulous Center for Book Arts in NYC included the honor of having a CBA artist, Lindsay Valentin, create and produce a broadside version of one of my poems in a limited edition of 100. The broadside comes in 9 different gorgeous colors on a richly textured paper with parchment edges.

Book Excerpt:

The poem's opening lines:

"i was imported : : i was soft in the hills where they found me : : shining in a private dark . . ."
