SZEPCZAC - GEFLUESTER

Synopsis:
SELECTED POEMS WRITTEN BY BOZENA INTRATOR
Bozena Intrator's poetry, . . . these are poems of love, poems of landscape:
wind across lakes, open skies, valleys, forests, a summer’s
coolness, the dark. And as they meld together, borderless, what is one,
is the other: landscape as love.
Michael Zeller
Foreword in Szepczac, Gefluester
(...) This is a poetry collection that gives the reader great satisfaction
not only because Bozena Intrator alternates between two or more languages,
allowing her poems to result in a confluence of differing rhythms, structures and contents.
This is an intriguing collection of poems trough
which one can discover a perceptive and a mature author. (...)

With a whisper, Bozena Intrator relates the whole of life.
How else can we describe the contents of Szepczac, Gefluester ?
Excitement, love, at times sensuality, advice, warning, a fleeting memory of meetings with people from differents worlds.
( ) Where does she really come from, the author of this unique collection of poems?
From Vienna to Krakow, from German back to Polish. ( ) What she brings with her is fascinating. ( )
Maybe because the place where she comes from remains untouched,
even today, not accessible to everyone, despit the fact that in the last
few years development has destroyed much of the primeval
forest which surrounds Augustow, the tourist town of her youth, where
she imbibed the essence of life among virgin lakes and forests.
It is essence which has helped her weather the storms connected with
a life in many countries and cultures, and let emerge the delicious fruit ofher poetry.
An unusal emotional cradle, ideed. ( )
Since there is in the poems as well as the author herself,
a strange, hypnotically magical power. ( )
