The Georgia Review (Fall 2007)

Synopsis:
The Fall 2007 issue of The Georgia Review is just out, with essays by Laura Sewell Matter, Barbara C. Mallonee and Jeremy Collins; a one-act play from David Wagoner; short fiction by Jack Driscoll and Janisse Ray; poetry from Gary Gildner, Grace Danborn, Kevin Clark, Bruce Cohen, Linda Pastan, Kevin Prufer, Robert Cording, Alice Friman, Margaret Gibson, and Sharon Dolin; reviews by Gerald Weales (the thirtieth installment of his annual American Theater Watch), Judith Kitchen, and Greg Johnson; and a truly arresting, disturbing art feature, Eye Level in Iraq, by photographers Thorne Anderson and Kael Alford.
As usual, there's a mix of new writers -- Laura Sewell Matter and Jeremy Collins publish their first essays anywhere in this volume, and Janisse Ray publishes her first short story -- with well-established ones. We hope you enjoy this issue, which for us has truly been a labor of love.
