Synopsis:

A member of the tiny but ancient Samaritan community has been murdered. The dead man controlled hundreds of millions of dollars of government money. If the World Bank cannot locate it within the next several days, all aid money to the Palestinians will be cut off. Visiting Nablus, Omar Yussef must solve the murder and find the money, or all Palestinians will suffer.

Author Comment:

With the third of my Palestinian crime novels, I wanted to address the little-known world of the Samaritans, remnants of the people mentioned by Jesus in his parable of the Good Samaritan. I also wanted to use as a location for most of the plot my favorite place in the West Bank -- the murky alleys of the ancient casbah in Nablus. That's where much of this novel takes place.
