Red Room Where the Writers Are

Review Excerpt:

I found this novel to be profoundly sad but at the same time I am sure this is based on incidents and events that have happened and are still happening, whether in Afghanistan or somewhere else in the world. I find it very sad when so-called leaders and liberators subject and influence people to change their lives. I live in South Africa and I guess this is happening in one of our neighbouring states, Zimbabwe and the saddest part of all is that the world turns a blind eye. I am of the opinion that we human beings do not learn from the past as it has been shown that history repeats itself.
